A question of you, if you could choose between Joss's Cheer Practice Outfit or Joss's Cheer Competition Outfit, which one would you pick? 💕
This set includes: Stretchy black leggings, a sports top, teal tank top, slip-on sandals and a bright green headband. The packaging on the box is identical to how the other boxes are styled in her collection, featuring a photo of the set in the middle, her name at the bottom and a striped background featuring the colors: red, yellow and blue. This set retails for $34 USD.
The first two items in the set are her leggings and her sports top. There's a black, teal and green color scheme throughout the whole outfit with these two items being no exception. The first item, the leggings, have elastic on the waist so it should stay up on the doll. Even though the leggings do not have any major designs on them, I do like how the used the blue and green stitching to give them some depth. Of course the Joss logo is located over in the corner, having a similar colour scheme to the 'CHEER' words on the top. Up next, her cheer top is a lovely teal color with the words 'CHEER' printed on the front in a bright green color. I do find that the velcro on this item is interesting, it's situated over on the side instead of it being on the back of the top. There's also a criss cross pattern for the straps, which gives the items more detail. If you'd like to see these features be sure go and watch the video which is linked in the post.
The next few items in the set includes: the tank top, a headband and slip-on sandals. The tank top is a light blue color with a silver print scattered throughout it. I especially love the design element on the back of the top, which can cross over. The tank top itself is made out of a very lightweight material, which is very true to the sport.
The headband is quite thick and is a bright green color to match the writing and the stitching on both the top and leggings. This item is spoken about in the book and Joss uses it to keep her hearing aid from falling out when she's doing stunts at cheer.
Finally, the slip on sandals are are so realistic. A feature on them is that they have the classic Nfinity logo on the front. The plastic is quite thick but the are also lightweight too, which is perfect for Joss to wear to and from practice.
Overall, I really would recommend this set! The quality is great and there is so much detail to each item. If you are planning on adding Joss to your collection, this would be a perfect outfit for her to wear when practicing her cheer stunts.
Joss's Cheer Competition Outfit 🎀
This set includes: cheer dress, cheer shorts, cheer bow and cheer shoes. This set retails for $36 USD.
The first item in the set is her performance cheer dress. The color scheme on the dress mainly features pink, peach and white, which suits a lot of the other items in her collection. I really like how the dress itself is styled with a glitter fabric used on the sleeves. On the front of the dress, the words 'Shine Athletics' are written in both a peach and pink color. There are multiple rhinestones on both the sleeves and the main part of the dress.
The next item in the set are the cheer shorts. These are for Joss to wear when she is performing on stage. There's elastic on the waist so it should stay in place. Of course a cheer performance set must include a cheer bow. This bow is made with a glitter fabric and is a deep purple color. It's quite hard to tell in the picture but it has more a glitter effect in real life then it does on camera. There is a hair tie attached to the back so you can add it in Joss's high ponytail.
The last item in the set are the cheer shoes. They are a white color and again have the classic Nfinity logo on the back. There is elastic over the top of the shoe so it should be easy to put on and take off.
Overall I really like the styling and the color scheme used in the set. The items are quite realistic though you do need to be careful with the dress. The material used to make the dress is similar to the ones that American Girl uses in with their Gymnastic leotards. The material pulls as soon as the velcro attaches itself to it, making it quite difficult to take off and put back on.
Out of these two sets, I prefer Joss's Cheer Practice Outfit but I do like both of them as they suit both Joss's character and storyline. If you'd like to see a full in depth review of both sets, be sure to click on the link:
